Job Description

AnaVation is seeking a Security Engineer to support client leadership with system security engineering and administration. The ideal candidate will engage with client leadership and senior team members, performing system administration for security tools, vulnerability management, incident response, and promoting security awareness.

Responsibilities

• System administration for security tools (vulnerability scanners, EDR, SIEM)
• Audit and log management
• Account management and access reviews
• Application updates and patching
• Vulnerability scanning and analysis
• Incident Response (triage, investigation, reporting)
• Security awareness promotion
• Presenting vulnerability analysis to stakeholders
• Compliance with CRM and DOJ program guidance
• POC during security audits

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or 12+ years experience)
• 8 years of experience in information system engineering and configuration management
• 5 years of experience in system security analysis and implementation
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with Splunk, Tenable, Nessus, Bigfix, Crowdstrike, McAfee, Burpsuite
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Linux, Windows, Oracle/SQL Databases, Agile Methodologies, GRC Tools
• Security+ certification
• Active Secret clearance
