Job Description

AnaVation is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their engineering team in Reston, VA, supporting a mission-critical customer. The role involves designing, automating, integrating, configuring, testing, and delivering cloud-based infrastructure and services within an AWS environment. The engineer will contribute to Agile Development Planning and participate in customer meetings.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and automated AWS cloud infrastructure
• Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions
• Analyze and optimize cloud infrastructure
• Implement security best practices
• Design lab and demonstration environments
• Research emerging cloud technologies
• Collaborate with cyber, DevOps, and application development teams
• Support system documentation and reporting

Requirements

• TS/SCI Eligible, willing to obtain polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 10 years of experience
• DoD 8570 IAT II and CSSP Infrastructure Support certifications
• Compute Environment certification (AWS, Azure, RedHat, Windows)
• Experience with cross-functional teams
• Experience with knowledge management and technical documentation
• Experience analyzing, designing, and implementing cloud infrastructure
• Experience with cloud migrations and security controls
• Proficiency in AWS automation and scripting (Bash/Python)
• Familiarity with RMF process and STIG baseline host hardening
