Job Description

The Network Engineer will perform network design, engineering, and troubleshooting support for classified programs, maintaining network availability and controlling network management activities. This role involves building network topologies, implementing network systems, preparing technical documentation, and providing on-site coverage with a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Network design, engineering, and troubleshooting
• LANs/WANs/Site-to-site, VPNs support
• Maintaining network availability for servers, storage, and backup systems
• Troubleshoot port security, VLAN issues, and network outages
• Control network management, data flows, and firewall rules
• Build network topologies
• Design and implement network systems
• Prepare technical documentation and design documents
• Provide on-site coverage with flexible work schedule

Requirements

• Top Secret security clearance poly eligible
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or similar
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
• 8570 compliance (IAT Level 2) such as CompTIA Security +
• 9 years of hands-on Cisco Network Administration/Engineering experience
• 2 years of hands-on experience supporting CentOS/RHEL Linux Systems
• Experience with Firewalls installation, configuration, and maintenance
• Understanding of network protocols and Firewall filters
• Experience leading classified network architecture and documentation
• Strong teamwork, communication, and presentation skills
• Strong initiative for technical challenges
