Job Description

Capco is seeking a Business Analyst to provide analysis, design, and consulting support to clients in the Retail Energy sector. The role involves bridging the gap between users and developers, documenting requirements, and assisting in translating business needs into IT applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in the retail energy industry and strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate client meetings and workshops
• Develop and evaluate procedures and user requirements
• Create business requirement documents and functional specifications
• Gather requirements and document architectures
• Design business processes and data models
• Resolve software defects
• Analyze and propose enhancements to business processes
• Conduct customer interviews
• Produce consulting deliverables
• Generate reusable intellectual capital
• Basic scripting and project plans

Requirements

• 4+ years of Business Analyst experience
• Retail Energy experience (CIS/Billing, EDI, Customer Care, Sales)
• Experience with wholesale, settlements, utilities, or trading is a plus
• Experience working for a management consulting firm preferred
• Solid Business Analyst skills (interviewing, process mapping)
• Strong presentation and writing skills
• Project management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business, or Financial Engineering
