Job Description

Moloco is seeking a Data Science Intern to contribute to performance improvement and cost efficiency within their machine learning and infrastructure systems. The intern will drive data-driven insights and scientific solutions, working on projects related to ad-tech components, data analysis, optimization approaches, and experiment design.

Responsibilities

• Improve ad-tech components (ranking, retrieval, auction/bidding, budget pacing)
• Conduct deep-dive data analysis to influence R&D decisions
• Design and deploy advanced optimization approaches
• Validate efficiency and performance gains through simulation and modeling
• Develop experiment design and metric frameworks
• Stay up-to-date with research in experimentation and causal inference

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD program in a technical or quantitative discipline
• Graduating with degree by June 2027 (for Bachelor's/Master's)
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) for 12 weeks (May-September 2026)
• Willingness to work from Redwood City, CA office
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and solve problems
