Job Description

Moloco is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design and scale machine learning systems that improve ad relevance, ranking, and optimization. The role requires fluency in Mandarin to collaborate with customers and partners, and involves building and deploying large-scale ML systems for ad ranking, click-through prediction, and conversion optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy large-scale ML systems for ad ranking
• Develop and operate production pipelines processing ad requests
• Collaborate with customers/partners in Mandarin
• Apply systematic approaches to model training and evaluation
• Partner with infrastructure and data teams
• Lead design and code reviews
• Diagnose model performance and execute experiments
• Mentor engineers on ML best practices
• Work cross-functionally with product and business teams

Requirements

• 7+ years experience building/deploying ML systems at scale
• Shipped models improving key metrics (CTR, CVR, ROI)
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese
• Strong software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms)
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX)
• Experience with distributed data/compute systems
• Understanding of robust ML pipelines
• Experience optimizing inference performance
• Thrive in fast-moving environments
