Moloco is seeking a Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join their core ML team. This individual contributor role focuses on building and deploying large-scale ML systems for recommendation, prediction, ranking, and optimization, impacting hundreds of millions of users. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise and values system design and measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy ML systems for recommendation, prediction, ranking, and optimization
• Build and operate models and infrastructure supporting hundreds of millions of requests per day
• Apply systematic approaches to model training, evaluation, and inference
• Collaborate with MLI team to define system requirements and improve tooling
• Lead or contribute to architectural design and standardization of ML practices
• Mentor and support engineers across ML teams
• Evolve the ML interview process

Requirements

• Extensive experience building and operating ML systems in high-scale environments
• Demonstrated impact from ML systems improving product performance or business metrics
• Expertise in recommender systems, ranking models, predictive modeling, or ML optimization
• Strong coding and system design skills with CS fundamentals
• Proficiency with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, Keras, JAX)
• Experience optimizing models for hardware accelerators
• Hands-on experience with distributed infrastructure
• Familiarity with ML production best practices
