Job Description

STR is seeking a Mission Software Engineer to develop and deploy software for real-world objectives in partnership with customers, emphasizing end-user needs and mission success. The role involves working within Agile teams to develop, integrate, and maintain software systems, ensuring quality, reliability, and performance. This position requires an active Top Secret security clearance and may involve travel to government facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop new software components
• Conduct software integration and testing
• Perform integration testing
• Deploy and test software in operational environments
• Triage and debug software failures
• Participate in test planning, reviews, and code reviews
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Security clearance
• BS in Computer Science or related field with 7+ years experience
• Experience designing, building, testing, and debugging large codebases
• Experience with object-oriented programming, service-oriented architectures
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, JIRA, SonarQube, Gitlab
• Experience with test-driven development
• Integration and Test Experience with Java applications
