Job Description

STR is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to leverage skills in data science, machine learning, and software development to operationalize advanced statistical machine learning algorithms and support production-level systems. The role involves designing cutting-edge solutions for national security challenges, working with large datasets, and collaborating with a team of engineers and researchers.

Responsibilities

• Explore data sources to build and integrate machine learning models
• Develop machine learning and deep learning algorithms
• Work with large datasets and develop scalable analysis solutions
• Collaborate on data pipelines, algorithms, storage, and access software
• Monitor software deployments and design APIs
• Build analytic tools for actionable insights
• Improve software robustness and system performance

Requirements

• Ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance and U.S. citizenship
• 5+ years of experience in programming languages like Python
• Experience working with large datasets for machine learning
• Experience with complex code bases
• Experience with containerization and CI/CD workflows
• BS, MS, or PhD in a related field or equivalent experience
