Job Description

STR is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to operationalize advanced statistical machine learning algorithms and support production-level systems within the Intelligence Division. The role involves collaborating with engineers and researchers to design solutions for national security challenges, interacting with customers, and improving internal processes. Positions are available in Woburn, MA and Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain software for data pipelines, algorithms, storage, and access
• Build infrastructure for ETL using SQL and AWS technologies
• Architect and implement technology integration and workflow orchestration
• Build analytic tools providing actionable insights
• Identify and implement internal process improvements
• Monitor data for system performance impact
• Develop and execute plans to mitigate issues and ensure system performance

Requirements

• Active Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship
• Motivated collaborator with ability to lead development initiatives
• BS, MS, or PhD in a related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in Python or similar
• Experience with AWS cloud services, SQL, and databases
• Experience working with large datasets and building pipelines
