Job Description

STR is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technical support to local, remote, and mobile staff. The role involves troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and contributing to the IT knowledge base. This position requires an active Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve technical issues
• Maintain IT knowledge base
• Educate end-users
• Manage hardware and software inventory
• Perform diagnostics and upgrades
• Create and maintain documentation
• Manage Active Directory accounts
• Provision computers and phones
• Support intern program
• Administrate ITSM system
• Order software and hardware
• Support IT team with server, user, and network administration
• Create and manage Linux accounts
• Collaborate with IT team
• Perform minor off-hours duties

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance and US citizenship
• 3+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX
• Experience with business and engineering applications
• Intermediate Active Directory skills
• Helpdesk/Desktop certifications desired
• Strong team player
• Problem-solving and time management skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Self-motivated with analytical skills
