Job Description

STR is seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to join their team, responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, managing IT resources, and providing exceptional customer support to staff. The role involves hands-on troubleshooting, system provisioning, and collaboration with other IT teams.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
  • Manage incoming tickets and assist end users
  • Provide hands-on guidance to end users
  • Conduct root cause analysis
  • Provision and configure systems for new hires
  • Perform desktop support including OS deployments and software upgrades
  • Manage printers, scanners, and multifunction devices
  • Manage Active Directory and LDAP accounts
  • Assist with server, network, and storage administration
  • Document solutions in the IT knowledge base
  • Maintain inventory of hardware, software, and licenses
  • Procure and maintain hardware and software assets
  • Collaborate with other IT teams
  • Participate in off-hours support

Requirements

  • 5+ years of enterprise IT support experience
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency with Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, VMware, and engineering tools
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory administration
