Job Description

STR Sensors Division is seeking a Lead Systems and RF Research Scientist to drive the system design, integration, and testing of sensing and counter-sensing systems for radar, electronic warfare, and other applications. The role involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, performing trade studies, and documenting system performance for customer review.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to quantify goals and system performance
• Lead and work with teams to architect, implement, and test RF hardware systems
• Perform trade studies and analyses of hardware architectures
• Design, calibrate, and implement bench-top unit tests
• Develop system analytical test tools
• Design and implement over-the-air system demonstrations
• Review system effectiveness and identify opportunities for advancement
• Document system design and performance
• Support business development and proposal writing

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or related
• 8+ years’ experience with hardware system design
• Expertise with RF components and subsystems
• Design experience in RF systems and electromagnetics
• Skilled in RF test and measurement equipment
• Proficiency in MATLAB or Python
• Strong mathematical and communication skills
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance
