Job Description

CX2 is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer with 2+ years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry to be responsible for the design, development, testing, and integration of mechanical systems and components for aerospace platforms. This is a hands-on role in a multidisciplinary environment focused on innovation and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design of components and subsystems
• Generate engineering drawings and 3D models
• Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis
• Optimize designs for weight, cost, and manufacturability
• Support fabrication, assembly, and testing of prototypes
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, and manufacturing teams
• Ensure compliance with aerospace standards
• Produce and maintain design documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 2+ years of mechanical design experience in aerospace/defense
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or CATIA)
• Knowledge of aerospace materials and DFM
• Experience with analysis tools (ANSYS, NASTRAN)
• Familiarity with aerospace testing
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• U.S. Citizen, National, or lawful permanent resident
