Stacklok is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer II to build products that securely connect AI agents to essential systems. The role involves contributing to a TypeScript-based desktop application and developing a new web application, influencing architecture, user experience, and tackling complex interaction challenges. Collaboration with backend engineers, designers, and community engagement are key aspects of this position.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance desktop and web applications
• Build user interfaces for MCP server management
• Collaborate with backend engineers on API design
• Partner with designers and product managers for UX
• Engage with open source community
• Contribute to engineering processes
• Adopt AI-first development practices

Requirements

• Frontend development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and CSS
• Testing experience with Playwright or @testing-library
• Desktop application development experience with Electron, Tauri, or similar
• Understanding of containerization and Docker
• API integration skills
• Software development best practices
• Problem-solving abilities
• Task decomposition and prioritization
• Open source collaboration experience
