Job Description

CGS is seeking a Financial Investigator to join their team providing legal support and investigative services to a large federal agency. The role involves planning and conducting investigations, analyzing evidence, and preparing reports to support prosecutorial objectives, focusing on violations of federal law such as fraud and money laundering.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and conducts investigations
  • Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Develops and analyzes evidence
  • Gathers and analyzes facts
  • Establishes and verifies relationships among facts and evidence
  • Analyzes violations of federal law
  • Conducts asset investigations
  • Develops understanding of applicable law
  • Prepares reports
  • Assists in compiling and analyzing evidence
  • Prepares affidavits and testifies in court
  • Advises on investigation methods
  • Examines financial records

Requirements

  • Minimum four years experience in complex investigations
  • Working knowledge of investigative techniques
  • Valid driver's license
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain background investigation adjudication
  • Experience in law enforcement is preferred
  • Experience analyzing data with software programs is preferred
  • Experience reviewing financial records is preferred
  • Experience interviewing witnesses is preferred
