Job Description

CGS is seeking a Cloud and Storage Engineer to develop and implement a full-scale Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture for a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure supporting a federal agency. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining storage solutions, ensuring high availability, and contributing to government innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SAN architecture
• Define strategic direction for SAN and backup environment
• Design and implement customer storage requirements
• Provide storage and backup capacity planning
• Produce standards for storage configuration, optimization, and security
• Troubleshoot SAN infrastructure issues
• Manage and maintain SAN infrastructure for 24/7 uptime
• Architect and maintain private cloud environment
• Perform security related tasks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline (or 8 years of experience)
• Significant experience with Dell EMC products (OneFile System, MDS SAN switches, Unity, Isilon, VNS, Data Domain, RecoverPoint)
• Experience with Gov Cloud (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of storage virtualization, replication, and disaster recovery
