Job Description

CGS is seeking an experienced CommVault Data Protection Engineer to design, develop, configure, implement, test, troubleshoot, deploy, and support backup and recovery technical solutions for a large-scale federal government enterprise environment. The role involves ensuring data protection, security, and efficient backup/restore processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, integrate, and secure complex backup, recovery, and storage products
• Create and maintain optimal backup, restore, and redundancy solutions
• Troubleshoot complex backup and recovery problems
• Provide analytics, usage, capacity planning, and reporting
• Implement security updates and patches
• Work with operations teams to support enterprise infrastructure processes

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Commvault data protection application
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, Microsoft Windows Servers, Linux, and SQL database
• Experience with DISA STIGs
• Perform security related tasks (documentation, vulnerability scan review, patch management, auditing)
