Job Description

CGS is seeking a Java developer to enhance data utilization for a large, state-run project. The developer will aggregate data from various sources and plan for its collection, processing, storage, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of large-scale enterprise systems and Java coding, including the Java Server Faces Framework.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts and developers to produce software designs
• Provide work estimates and status updates
• Formulate program specifications and prototypes
• Transform designs into code
• Integrate software solutions
• Create and advance web applications
• Test and debug code
• Develop testing and acceptance procedures
• Perform software upgrades for security and efficiency
• Provide training and documentation

Requirements

• 3+ years of Java web application development using Java Server Faces Framework
• 5+ years of Java web application UI design and implementation (HTML, CSS, Javascript)
• 3+ years of Java web application integration with SQL databases using Hibernate
• 3+ years of SQL relational database design and coding
• 5+ years of software development experience (independent and team)
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize projects
