CGS is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Developer to support a rapidly growing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platform focused on providing data solutions for federal customers. The role involves migrating from an Oracle database to Postgres, managing database environments, and ensuring scalability. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver effective data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Migrate from Oracle to Microsoft Azure Postgres
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with internal and external parties
• Ensure database availability and performance
• Perform performance tuning
• Monitor database systems for security and downtime
• Implement database rollouts, patching, and upgrades

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• US Citizenship
• 7 years of experience with PostgreSQL administration in Linux
• Experience with setting up and monitoring PostgreSQL instances
• Experience with PostgreSQL backup and disaster recovery
• Experience migrating Oracle schema to Postgres using Ora2Pg
