Job Description

CGS is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support a technical initiative for a large Federal agency. The role involves leading UX design efforts, managing design implementation, conducting user research, collaborating with clients, and creating design resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio and experience with responsive web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale UX design efforts
• Manage design and implementation of sites and applications
• Lead user research and analysis
• Collaborate with engineers and clients
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps
• Create scalable design resources
• Evaluate existing systems and develop UX recommendations
• Design compliant web and mobile applications
• Prioritize features based on user goals and business requirements
• Carry designs from wireframes to final mockups
• Establish customer feedback loops
• Mentor junior designers

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• 10+ years of professional design experience
• Strong UX design experience
• Strong online portfolio
• Expertise in user research methodologies
• Advanced understanding of user personas and flows
• Understanding of website development lifecycle
• Experience with 508 and USWDS standards
• Advanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, and JS)
• Proficiency in Adobe xD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Results-oriented problem solver
