Job Description

CGS is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to support a technical initiative for a large Federal agency. The role involves leading UX design efforts, managing the design and implementation of web and mobile applications, collaborating with engineers and clients, and creating design resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio and experience with user research, 508 compliance, and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-scale UX design efforts
• Manage design and implementation of sites and applications
• Lead user research and analysis
• Collaborate with engineers and clients
• Create wireframes, storyboards, and site maps
• Create scalable design resources
• Evaluate existing systems and develop UX recommendations
• Design compliant web and mobile applications
• Prioritize features based on user goals and business requirements
• Carry designs from wireframes to final mockups
• Establish customer feedback loops
• Mentor junior designers

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• 10+ years of professional design experience
• Strong UX design experience
• Strong online portfolio
• Expertise in user research methodologies
• Advanced understanding of user personas and flows
• Understanding of website development lifecycle
• Experience with 508 and USWDS standards
• Advanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, JS)
• Proficiency in Adobe xD, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a team
