Job Description

CGS is seeking an experienced Law Clerk to provide assistance in all phases of litigation for a large federal agency office, focusing on opioid cases and other high-profile matters. The role involves supporting attorneys with trial preparation, document review, and litigation tasks, contributing to the mission of the federal agency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of litigation
• Assist with trial prep and litigation tasks
• Review and analyze documents
• Use electronic databases for litigation support
• Conduct database searches
• Troubleshoot technical issues
• Apply redactions to documents
• Draft review memos and litigation documents
• Communicate with case teams
• Draft, organize, and manage litigation review materials
• Track litigation case support using task ticketing software

Requirements

• J.D. Degree
• Active Bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction
• Experience with civil litigation (preferred)
• U.S. Citizenship
• 2+ years of progressively responsible experience on litigation support projects
• Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of legal research tools (LEXIS, Westlaw)
• Familiarity with computer applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets)
• Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures
