Job Description

CGS is seeking a dedicated Paralegal with a Top Secret Clearance to assist with legal accounts. The role involves providing paralegal support to the OGC, LITB, or IALB, including document review, legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with litigation. The ideal candidate will be able to adjust to changing priorities and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and process document requests
  • Conduct legal research and locate relevant information
  • Draft legal memoranda and correspondence
  • Prepare draft legal documents
  • Review materials for relevance and privilege
  • Maintain documentation and case records
  • Assist with legal holds and preservation notices
  • Generate reports on case assignments
  • Analyze requests and conduct outreach
  • Conduct legal privilege reviews
  • Apply redactions to documents
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Provide customer service

Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate, JD, or enrollment in an ABA-accredited law school (1+ year completed)
  • 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience
  • 1+ year of automated litigation support experience
  • Knowledge of federal and state court systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (LEXIS, Westlaw)
  • Familiarity with computer applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets)
  • Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure
