Job Description

CGS is seeking a dedicated Paralegal with a Top Secret Clearance to assist with legal accounts. The role involves providing paralegal support to the OGC, LITB, or IALB, including document review, legal research, drafting legal documents, and assisting with litigation. The ideal candidate will be able to adjust to changing priorities and work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and process document requests
  • Conduct legal research and locate relevant information
  • Draft legal memoranda and correspondence
  • Prepare draft legal documents (motions, briefs, etc.)
  • Review materials for relevance and privilege
  • Prepare privilege logs
  • Maintain documentation of discovery
  • Assist with legal hold notices
  • Generate case assignment reports
  • Analyze and interpret requests
  • Conduct outreach and informal interviews
  • Assist in preparation of declarations
  • Scan and redact documents
  • Conduct privilege reviews using eDiscovery platforms
  • Review peer work for accuracy
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Maintain accurate case records
  • Provide customer service
  • Prioritize and schedule projects
  • Assist in FBI representation
  • Coordinate classification reviews
  • Serve as a consultant regarding privilege application

Requirements

  • Paralegal certificate, JD, or current law school enrollment (1+ year)
  • 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience
  • 1+ year of automated litigation support experience
  • Knowledge of federal and state court systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal research tools (LEXIS, Westlaw)
  • Familiarity with computer applications (word processing, databases, spreadsheets)
  • Familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures
  • Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure
  • Top Secret Clearance
