CGS is seeking a Civil Rights Investigator to provide legal support for a large Government Agency in Cleveland, OH. The role involves conducting investigations into civil rights allegations, drafting reports, coordinating with legal teams, and managing evidence. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, and enthusiastic about learning.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary inquiries and draft investigation recommendations
  • Plan and conduct in-depth civil rights investigations
  • Draft data requests to obtain relevant information
  • Conduct on-site investigations including interviews
  • Utilize software to develop timelines and documentation
  • Manage databases cataloging evidence
  • Extract and categorize investigative material
  • Conduct legal research
  • Prepare factual summaries and develop recommendations

Requirements

  • College Degree
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Six years of experience with law enforcement or civil rights enforcement
  • Familiarity with Civil Rights statutes (Fair Housing Act, ADA)
  • Experience performing tasks and duties of the position
