Job Description

dbt Labs is seeking a Majors Sales Director to build out their strategic customer base in the Northeast region. This role involves managing the full sales cycle, leading POC implementations, and contributing to the development of the sales process. The ideal candidate will be proactive, curious, and possess a strong understanding of complex technical concepts and long sales cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full sales cycle from lead to ongoing utilization
  • Organize POC implementations of dbt Cloud Enterprise
  • Win 20 new dbt Cloud Enterprise customers per year
  • Lead and contribute to team projects to develop the sales process
  • Work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap
  • Become an expert in SQL, dbt, and enterprise data operations
  • Be an active member of the dbt open source community

Requirements

  • 7+ years closing experience in technology sales
  • Proven track record of exceeding annual targets
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Diligence and organizational skills for long sales cycles
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment
  • Passion for being an inclusive teammate
  • Experience with SQL or willingness to learn
