dbt Labs is seeking a Staff Solutions Architect to join their North East Solutions Architecture team. This role involves leading technical evaluations, delivering demos, and serving as a trusted advisor to strategic accounts, helping them leverage dbt and scale their analytics practices. The ideal candidate will be based in or willing to relocate to New York City.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-scale data architectures using dbt Cloud
• Demonstrate the technical value of dbt Labs solutions
• Lead proof-of-concept engagements
• Deploy dbt Cloud in private clouds
• Manage the full customer lifecycle
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering
• Enable strategic partners
• Engage in the dbt Community

Requirements

• 6+ years of sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting in data operations
• Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL, and data modeling
• Strong understanding of modern data stacks and cloud data warehousing
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to translate requirements into solutions
• Adaptability in fast-paced environments
