The Weather Company is seeking a Meteorological Operations Specialist to provide quality control and meteorological support for their global data products and services. This role involves monitoring systems, maintaining databases, collaborating with technical and forecast teams, and ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of weather information for customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide meteorological quality control for global products and services
• Monitor systems that ingest and generate data products
• Maintain and update weather databases
• Collaborate with technical staff to resolve issues
• Collaborate with forecast teams regarding weather events
• Provide resources for special projects

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or related field
• 1+ years of experience in weather forecasting and analysis
• Understanding of theoretical and practical meteorology
• Knowledge of meteorological datasets
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work under time constraints
• Organizational and data analysis skills
• Proficiency in advanced workstation technology
• Ability to multitask and adjust priorities
• Ability to work rotating schedule
