Job Description

The Software Engineer II will plan and perform software design, documentation, and development activities for web- and cloud-based applications, transitioning from a traditional DoD environment to an OpenShift/Cloud Development, Security, and Operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish an initial DevSecOps environment
• Transition from legacy software to cloud-based architecture
• Develop code adhering to coding and security standards
• Work within agile processes
• Communicate with team members, management, and customers
• Support other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Java experience
• DevOps/DevSecOps pipeline tool experience
• Cloud architecture experience
• OpenShift RedHat environment experience
• Knowledge of containers and Kubernetes
• Agile software engineering expertise
• Active Secret Security clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math (preferred)
• DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (preferred)
