Job Description

Hungryroot is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead their growing Data team, focusing on building and maintaining data pipelines for their Analytics data model. This role involves collaboration with Analysts and Data Engineers to improve data quality, deploy pipelines, and set standards for code quality. The manager will report to the Senior Director of Data Platform & Governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop pipelines in Spark (Python + Scala) in the Databricks Platform
• Build cross-functional relationships with business partners
• Ensure system reliability and performance
• Deploy and maintain data pipelines in production
• Set an example of code quality and data quality
• Enable high quality self-service analytics
• Investigate datasets to answer business questions

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in ETL development and data modeling
• 5+ years of experience in Python
• 5+ years of experience in Spark
• 2+ years of experience managing a Data Engineering team
• 1+ year of experience in Scala
• 1+ years of experience working with the Databricks Platform
• Excellent problem-solving skills
