Mergermarket is seeking an editor/reporter to write and edit stories on corporate strategy and M&A developments for a business audience, including investment banks, law firms, and private equity firms. The role involves breaking news, interviewing executives, and producing actionable content.

Responsibilities

• Write 10+ stories per month on company growth strategies
• Edit stories for style, size, and quality
• Develop and maintain market contacts for breaking news
• Engage with M&A community through events
• Collaborate with journalists globally
• Travel to conferences

Requirements

• 3+ years business journalism experience
• Interest in company growth and obstacles
• Strong interviewing and news-breaking skills
• Ability to write clear and concise copy
• Proficiency in capital allocation and investment strategies
