Job Description

ION Markets is seeking a Data Center Engineer with strong automation and infrastructure management experience to support and automate datacenter environments in high-performance trading or capital markets settings. The role involves designing, deploying, and maintaining data center infrastructure with a focus on scalability, reliability, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support physical and virtual infrastructure
• Design and implement infrastructure automation
• Maintain and optimize systems for high availability
• Collaborate with network, systems, and trading technology teams
• Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Develop monitoring and alerting solutions
• Participate in incident response and root cause analysis
• Support change management and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Data Center, Systems, or Infrastructure Engineer
• Strong automation skills with Python, Ansible, Terraform
• Experience with Linux environments
• Understanding of low-latency networking and capital markets infrastructure
• Familiarity with virtualization and containerization
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong documentation and communication skills
