ION Markets is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Administrator to join their Datacenter Systems Administrative Team in Somerset, NJ. This role involves managing and optimizing a large estate of RHEL systems, contributing to transformative infrastructure initiatives, and ensuring high availability across North and South America.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize RHEL systems
• Manage RHEL KVM virtualization
• Oversee HPE ProLiant hardware lifecycle
• Execute infrastructure patching and reboot orchestration
• Enhance security posture with EDR/SIEM agents
• Resolve kernel-level bottlenecks and network latency
• Manage HPE storage platforms
• Maintain critical datacenter services
• Implement proactive monitoring
• Develop automation frameworks
• Respond to service requests and incidents
• Provide procedural documentation and remote guidance

Requirements

• 10+ years of Linux system administration experience
• Expertise in RHEL 7/8 and KVM virtualization
• Advanced knowledge of HPE ProLiant architecture
• Proficiency in security operations
• Experience with HPE SAN technologies
• Working knowledge of Puppet and Cobbler
• Proficient in Python, Perl, and Bash scripting
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
• RHCSA or RHCE certification preferred
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
