Lab49 is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to drive advanced data science solutions for a client. This role involves technical expertise, stakeholder advising, data strategy shaping, and team guidance to deliver high-impact outcomes in data analytics, machine learning, and predictive modeling.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define data science opportunities
• Lead end-to-end data science projects
• Mentor and guide a team of data scientists and data engineers
• Design and implement predictive models and machine learning algorithms
• Develop and present data visualizations
• Communicate technical concepts to stakeholders
• Collaborate with design and engineering teams
• Stay ahead of industry trends in AI/ML

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data science, 2–3 years in a lead role
• Strong background in machine learning and statistical modeling
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Understanding of model deployment and MLOps
• Proven ability to create data visualizations
• Excellent client-facing skills
• Master’s or Ph.D. in a related field
