Pomelo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the building and scaling of their data infrastructure. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines, data models, and transformations to enable data-driven decision-making across the company. The ideal candidate will be a technical leader and mentor, with a strong background in data engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines
• Lead design and development of scalable data infrastructure
• Write SQL and Python for data transformation
• Architect data models
• Mentor other engineers
• Collaborate with product, clinical, and analytics teams
• Optimize data processing workflows

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data systems and pipelines
• Expert proficiency in SQL and Python
• Experience with dbt, Dagster, Beam, or Dataflow
• Experience with modern data stack tools and cloud platforms
• Strong understanding of data warehouse design
