Job Description

Pomelo is seeking an experienced Staff Data Scientist to lead the data strategy for their Growth and Patient Experience team. This role focuses on optimizing patient enrollment and engagement through data-driven product development and analysis of patient behavior. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams to improve the patient experience and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

• Build data-driven products to enhance patient engagement and retention
• Own the team’s data science roadmap
• Optimize multi-channel enrollment strategy
• Define and iterate on key business metrics
• Conduct exploratory analyses for feature development
• Build data pipelines and analytics infrastructure
• Lead A/B testing across marketing and product initiatives
• Translate patient insights into product improvements

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in data science, product analytics, or data engineering
• 2+ years of experience in healthcare, consumer health, or high-touch consumer products
• Expert proficiency in SQL and Python
• Strong product sense and experience with A/B testing
• Passion for improving maternal health outcomes
• Track record of implementing data-driven product solutions
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with data visualization tools
• Experience with modern data stack tools
