Pomelo Care is seeking a doula to educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. This independent contractor role focuses on providing support and empowerment to families, improving birth outcomes, and offering comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Educate and guide expecting and new families
• Provide support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
• Improve birth outcomes
• Ensure families feel supported and empowered
• Virtual and in-person work

Requirements

• Birth and/or full spectrum doula certification/training
• Experience working as a doula
• Understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery
• Strong communication skills
• Comfort with telehealth and electronic documentation
• New York Medicaid Provider Identification Number
• NPI number
• Adult & Infant CPR & First Aid Certification
• Liability insurance
