Job Description

ShipBob is seeking a highly skilled Principal DevOps Engineer to lead DevOps initiatives, drive automation, and optimize a global cloud infrastructure. The role focuses on designing and maintaining scalable, secure, and cost-efficient CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and modernized cloud-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable cloud architectures
• Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines
• Automate infrastructure provisioning
• Establish observability and monitoring
• Collaborate with teams to deliver DevOps solutions
• Mentor team members
• Provide escalation assistance
• Integrate audit requirements with security standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of DevOps experience, 5+ in architecture
• Extensive Azure and AKS experience
• Experience with monolithic to distributed architectures
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and IaC
• Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of networking, security, and compliance
• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
