Job Description

Torq is seeking a Sales Engineer to build and manage the SE strategy for their new SLED vertical in a hyper-growth environment. The role involves providing technical expertise, supporting the sales team, and delivering presentations to customers to demonstrate the value of Torq's AI-native security automation platform.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-sales technical expertise
  • Lead Sales Engineering team
  • Partner with sales and product groups
  • Ensure accuracy of internal systems
  • Deliver presentations to customers
  • Promote products at events
  • Collaborate with internal teams
  • Provide product development input

Requirements

  • 5+ years of pre-sales engineering/solutions engineering experience with SaaS Cloud Security
  • 5+ years of experience with public sector (SLED) customers
  • Deep understanding of pre-sales engineering processes
  • Public Cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) experience
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, Powershell, bash)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience selling cybersecurity solutions (SIEM, SOAR, EDR)
  • Demonstrated success with Fortune 1000 companies
  • Excellent project management skills
