Job Description

The Retail Manager is responsible for managing the Filson retail store, providing exceptional customer service, supervising staff, and promoting the brand within the local community. This role involves managing store operations, achieving financial objectives, and ensuring brand standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service
• Establish rapport with customers
• Schedule and assign employees
• Recruit, select, orient, and train employees
• Coach, counsel, and appraise employee performance
• Prepare and manage annual budget
• Analyze financial statements
• Approve shipments and maintain inventories
• Ensure brand consistency
• Maintain a safe and clean store environment
• Enforce company policies and procedures
• Comply with legal requirements

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of retail management experience
• Management proficiency and leadership skills
• Budgeting and financial acumen
• Self-motivation and results-driven
• People development experience
• Strong communication skills
• PC skills (Word, Excel)
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Ability to reach, pull, bend, kneel, or stoop
• Ability to stand for lengthy periods
