Workato is seeking a product-minded Software Engineer to join their San Francisco team, focusing on building the next generation of developer products for LLM and Agentic applications. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining developer-facing products and APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving the full development lifecycle to deliver a delightful developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain developer-facing products and APIs for LLM and Agentic application development
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and developer relations teams
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Implement and improve validation, monitoring, and observability for ML services
• Drive the full development lifecycle
• Evaluate and optimize existing implementations
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members
• Stay at the cutting edge of AI, LLMs, and developer tooling

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of professional software development experience
• Product-minded with a focus on developer experience
• Experience building developer-facing products, APIs, SDKs, or CLIs
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript and experience with LLM models
• Solid understanding of API design, software architecture, and data structures
• Excellent communication skills
• Collaborative team player
