Job Description

The Data Engineer II is responsible for supporting the development and operation of IP-to-business mapping capabilities. This role involves operating data pipelines, maintaining infrastructure, implementing enhancements, monitoring internet-layer signals, and ensuring high-quality mapping outputs.

Responsibilities

• Support IP-to-DUNS mapping pipeline build, operation, and maintenance
• Implement automated workflows for refreshed IP-to-business mappings
• Analyze internet-layer signals (BGP/ASN, DNS, hosting patterns)
• Monitor global IP block changes and routing shifts
• Evaluate third-party IP-to-business data feeds
• Build scripts and tools for data quality and pipeline performance
• Operate and optimize internet-facing infrastructure
• Write and maintain data-processing and automation code (Python, Go, Rust, Bash)
• Apply operational-security best practices
• Collaborate with data analysts on validation and investigations
• Troubleshoot issues spanning networking, infrastructure, and data accuracy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, internet infrastructure, or related roles
• Working knowledge of IP addressing, ASNs, BGP, DNS, and internet routing
• Hands-on experience provisioning and operating servers
• Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash)
• Familiarity with data pipelines, large datasets, and automation workflows
• Understanding of operational security fundamentals
• Ability to follow architectural guidance and execute independently
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
