MO is seeking a senior people operator to build, operate, and scale their people systems as the company grows. This role involves partnering with the CEO and executive leadership team to translate business strategy into practical people operations, focusing on compliance, talent density, and a high-trust culture. The ideal candidate is a builder comfortable designing and running systems in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate core people operations
  • Manage employee lifecycle execution
  • Design and maintain people policies
  • Ensure compliance across multiple states
  • Own benefits administration
  • Partner with leaders to improve hiring and performance
  • Own HR compliance and risk management
  • Reinforce company values
  • Evolve people strategy and systems
  • Own and improve people systems and infrastructure

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in people operations or HR leadership
  • Experience scaling teams in professional services or technology organizations
  • Strong knowledge of government contracting and compliance
  • Experience supporting rapid growth
  • Practical, execution-oriented mindset
  • Comfort with modern HR technologies and AI
  • Experience in remote-first companies
  • Experience with structured operating systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Government or civic tech experience preferred
