Job Description

Noah Medical is seeking a Principal R&D Engineer to lead the architecture, design, and development of next-generation flexible robotic endoscopes. This role requires a hands-on engineer with deep experience in flexible endoscopes and a strong understanding of mechanical first principles, who can mentor engineers and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative products.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and development of flexible robotic endoscopes
• Mentor engineers through design control and risk management
• Apply mechanical first principles to optimize performance
• Collaborate with Clinical Engineering for simulated use testing
• Partner with Robotics and Controls Engineering for control strategies
• Design, prototype, and test concepts
• Lead design reviews
• Develop requirements and verification methods
• Drive continuous improvement in performance and manufacturability

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
• 12+ years of experience in product development
• Expertise in flexible endoscope design
• Strong grasp of mechanical fundamentals
• Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent)
• Experience with design-for-manufacture techniques
• Success in cross-functional collaboration
• Exceptional communication skills
• Passion for minimally invasive care
