Job Description

This position provides quality IT installation and support services to NISC customers nationwide, focusing on Linux/Java/Oracle/Progress environments. Responsibilities include system and software installations, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and assisting other departments. Up to 15% travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide implementation services for NISC member systems
• Perform hardware replacements
• Perform operating system and firmware upgrades
• Mastery of iVUE Server Installations
• Mastery of Web Proxy Server Installations
• Prepare monitors and updates for Software Implementations
• Train members on system management tools
• Coordinate project schedules
• Provide member support
• Document member issues
• Resolve problems for customers
• Leverage generative AI tools
• Travel to member sites

Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in Linux and Windows servers
• Excellent knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Excellent knowledge of Intel based hardware
• Excellent knowledge of VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP networks
• Working knowledge of VPNs, firewalls, and network security
• Basic knowledge of Project Management
• Basic knowledge of Service Level Management
• Basic knowledge of Cloud technologies
• Strong customer orientation
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
