Job Description

NISC is seeking a Technical Software Implementation Specialist to implement their Meter Data Management System (MDMS) and integrate utility-specific Automated Metering Infrastructure (AMI) with their Billing platform. The role requires strong SQL skills, project management abilities, and an analytical mindset to configure systems, solve data flow challenges, and collaborate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead system integration and configuration of AMI systems
• Collaborate with vendors and internal teams on data flows
• Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines
• Facilitate project status updates
• Lead VEE process for data integrity
• Perform data mapping and analysis
• Present application strategies and best practices
• Provide application support and troubleshooting
• Participate in after-hours support rotation
• Uphold company values

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in software implementation or system configuration
• Strong SQL and relational database skills
• Comfort with legacy technology stacks (JavaScript, PHP)
• Experience with data mapping and system integration
• Familiarity with utility systems (MDMS, AMI, CC&B) is a plus
• Basic understanding of project management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and customer engagement abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects
