Dagster Labs is seeking a Design Lead to shape the future of Dagster’s user experience across product and brand. This role involves leading a small design team, owning complex design work, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and engaging with the open-source community to improve the user experience and shape new product capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support a small team of designers
• Own and execute end-to-end design work
• Partner with product, engineering, and design peers
• Create clear design artifacts
• Identify opportunities to improve user experience
• Engage with the open-source community
• Collaborate and mentor design peers

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience designing enterprise-grade software
• Strong systems thinking and high-quality craft
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong collaboration skills
• Mastery of design tools like Figma
• Experience running user research sessions
• Strong communication skills
• Experience mentoring/managing designers
