Job Description

Arize AI is seeking a Corporate Counsel to be their first in-house legal hire. This role will focus on negotiating contracts, enabling revenue, managing vendors, developing legal policies, and providing legal advice across various departments. The ideal candidate will be a commercially-minded attorney who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft customer, vendor, and partnership agreements
• Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Revenue teams
• Review and negotiate SaaS and professional services contracts
• Build contract templates and processes
• Advise on business matters across departments
• Coordinate with outside General Counsel
• Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks
• Support fundraising and due diligence

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and active bar membership
• 3-5 years of legal experience in commercial contracts (SaaS, tech, or startup preferred)
• Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize effectively
• Excellent judgment and communication skills
• Startup mentality: adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity
