Job Description

Xometry is seeking a Director of Category Management based in Boston or Maryland/DC/North Virginia to build their CNC and Tooling business. The role involves defining category strategy, managing supplier relationships, analyzing performance, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal teams to drive growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage category strategy
• Manage supplier portfolio, driving development and negotiating terms
• Analyse supplier and category performance
• Negotiate with suppliers to optimise performance and cost
• Serve as escalation point for negotiations
• Identify sales, merchandising, and operational opportunities
• Collaborate across departments to drive category goals

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree, preferably in business
• Understanding of CNC/Tooling manufacturing
• Track record of stakeholder relationship development and negotiation
• Analytical mindset and data-driven approach
• Success in building business relationships
• Track record of successful commercial negotiations
• Excellent communication skills
• Advanced Google Sheets and Slides expertise
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Innovative problem-solving skills
• Eligible to work in the United States
